ABOUT EAST COOPER MONTESSORI CHARTER SCHOOL (ECMCS)

Established in 2003, we are a premier public Montessori school that serves 450 students from 3 years old through 8th grade. We value people and invest in them. Our system is not solely built upon allocations, therefore our teaching supports are regularly updated. We are located in Mt. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A THEATER TEACHER

As our Theater Teacher, you are a critical component of our school community's lifeblood. As a real actor/director/artist, you inspire children to create and enjoy performance. You teach a variety of acting and performing techniques and work with a team of educators to bring both original and recreated performances to life. Using effective and innovative instructional techniques, you patiently bring out the thespian in each student. You get great satisfaction out of helping students find their voice through visual arts! The ideal candidate brings great experience, enthusiasm, creativity, and especially a love of collaboration.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A THEATER TEACHER

State certification for teaching theater
Experience in theater education
Knowledge about effective and innovative instructional and student evaluation techniques and their applications to teaching theater
True passion for growing students' character and abilities

Experience with both elementary and middle school students is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. Are you skilled in interpersonal relations with students, parents, teachers, staff, and the general public? Do you have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal? Are you team-oriented? Are you compassionate and caring while able to maintain professional boundaries? If so, you might just be perfect for this Theater Teacher position!
